HELP YOUR STUDENT'S CLASS WIN FUNDS FOR THEIR GRADE!
You may have heard that the Atlantic Highlands Mayor’s Ball has named HHRS PTO as a beneficiary of their proceeds this year.
In short, HHRS/PTO will receive a lump sum donation likely to be in the thousands of dollars from this event! This is a one-time opportunity for the PTO and school to channel significant funds into major projects for our students.
In return, the Mayor’s Ball Committee just asks that we, as a school community, contribute/participate as we can, with donations for gift basket/auction items, and ticket purchases.
To help, students are creating themed class baskets for this event. We ask that you support this effort with any donation you can. The class with the most items donated will win $150 for their class fund, and there are 2 nd and 3 rd prizes also.
Please know that each and every donation, small or large, is appreciated, and, with bidding, the value of your donation to the school will be multiplied many times!
**The Ball is coming up quickly – on Friday, September 26. Donations are needed in hand at the Main Office by Tuesday, September 23, for wrapping. Thank you in advance!** Please contact PTO (Heidi: 812-573-1015) with any questions.
For Gift Basket(s) : Individual items and/or completed baskets are fine. All items donated will be counted in the class count – whether ‘theme’ or ‘non-theme,’ so all donations are welcome! Some ideas: Gift cards (restaurants, shopping, services, movies, grocery, gas, etc.), housewares, home décor, small jewelry, electronics, specialty foods, clothing, travel vouchers, sporting goods, etc. Monetary donations are fine also - PTO can do the shopping for you!
For Tickets: Come have a fun night out! Buy tickets and have a great evening out – They are $85 per person, and include all food, open bar, silent and live auctions, casino-style gambling, music and dancing, all at the Beacon Hill Country Club. Great Gatsby/Roaring Twenties theme; period clothing encouraged, but optional. Fill out the following form, and return to PTO mailbox as soon as possible, to make sure your reservation is included. You may include your check with this form, or pay later.
Other Ways to Support the Ball:
-Ad Journal ads are available, but these are due by Wednesday, 9/17, so this might be too quick, but let PTO know ASAP if interested ($75 ¼ page, $100, ½ page, $150 full page; PTO can write your copy).
-‘Horses’: Click on the link below for Monmouth Journal article with details. Each horse costs $50; you will receive a Grand Prize raffle ticket for this donation, as well as naming rights for your horse. Pit yourself against friends and cheer your horse on to victory as you watch real, live races via video at the Ball. Winning horse owners receive more Grand Prize raffle tickets. Buy a whole race (10 horses) and name your race as well. Contact: Mary Thompson: 732-872-1317.
