About Me

Biographical information

I am Mrs. Lenore M. Kingsmore, Principal, of Henry Hudson Regional School. It is a privilege to be your Principal and I look forward to meeting each of you in the coming months. I graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History and began my teaching career in Midland Park High School, Midland Park, NJ. It is a school just like Henry Hudson (grades 7-12). I taught every level of history. I received my Master of Arts Degree in Counselor Education from Kean University and became a middle school counselor in the East Brunswick School District. After obtaining my supervisor’s certificate and Director of Student Personnel Services certificate, I was hired as a high school counselor and then Supervisor K-12 in the Sayreville School District. Being a resident of Monmouth County for many years, I had always wanted to be closer to the school where I worked. Prior to coming to Henry Hudson Regional, I was the Director of Student Personnel Services at Red Bank Regional High School for five years. During my tenure as Director, I attended an accelerated master’s program, which enabled me to obtain my Principal and Chief School Administrator’s certificates of eligibility.

In 2016, I was awarded the coveted NJ Visionary Leadership Award for Secondary Principals and the NASSP/MetLife Principal of the Year! I will be honored officially at the NJPSA Fall Conference in October, 2016. Prior to the award ceremony, I will be traveling with the other 49 principals of the year to Washington, DC to visit with US Department of Education and the President. I feel truly honored by this award and plan to represent the best of New Jersey to the rest of the country. I owe this award to my talented staff, gifted students and supportive parents. I am also grateful to my superintendent and Board of Education for allowing me to compete for this esteemed honor.
